Within the Kernel platform, different users will have different access permissions and roles. The different types of users are the following:

• Staff users - employees of Valence having a staff role within a team.
• Regular users - any Kernel user, who can either have the administrator or collaborator role within a team.

This granular level of access control allows drug discovery teams to have fine-control over access rights across multiple project and strategies within the same organization. Staff users are currently restricted only for the members of the Valence team to complete all the necessary preparation before a review can begin (i.e. team creation, setting up projects, strategies etc.)

As Kernel evolves into a full self-serve platform, this will likely change.
